Common questions

I cannot sign in.

The sign-in screen offers Google sign-in and ID-and-password sign-in. Please note: there is no password reset yet — we take an email address at sign-up for future recovery, but we have not yet built the step that confirms the address is yours. If Google sign-in itself fails, check your Google account first. Browsing, maps and event listings work without signing in.

Do I need an account just to look around?

No. Events, maps, food and experiences are open without an account. You only need one for booking, ordering, messaging and joining meetups.

I want to cancel or change a booking.

We connect you to the organiser and we do not take payment. Schedule changes, cancellations and refunds belong to the organiser, so please contact them. You can find the booking details and contact under 'My bookings'.

The event information is wrong.

Festival and performance listings come from public bodies such as the Korea Tourism Organization and KOPIS, shown as published. When the source is slow to correct, so are we. Tell us which event and we will check and report it upstream.

I applied to a meetup and got no reply.

The host decides who joins; we cannot approve on their behalf. You can open a direct message with the host from the meetup screen and ask.

What is the "Where are you travelling?" question at sign-up?

It is the country you are travelling to. Note: it is not your nationality — we never ask, or keep, which country you are from. Storing it on your account is a separate, optional consent: if you refuse, sign-up and every feature still work exactly the same, and we simply do not keep the answer. If you did agree, you can choose again at any time in profile settings, and it is deleted with your account. To withdraw that consent, tell us here and we erase the stored country at that moment. Korea is the only country we cover today, so your answer does not change anything on screen yet.

What are the language levels in profile settings?

It is where you state which languages you speak and how well — native, fluent or basic, one level per language. Storing them on your account is a separate, optional consent: if you refuse, sign-up and every feature still work exactly the same, and we simply do not keep the answer. If you did agree, you can change or clear them at any time in profile settings, and they are deleted with your account. To withdraw that consent, tell us here and we erase the stored levels at that moment. Note: if your account is public they are shown on your profile, in club member lists and on suggested-friend cards; if your account is private we do not pass them to other users at all. Note also: this is not your nationality — we never ask which country you are from — and it is a different thing from the language a particular meetup uses.

I want to delete my account. What happens to my photos and posts?

You can delete your account in the app and your account data is anonymised immediately. Photos you delete are removed together with the files. In conversations your name is removed but the bubbles remain as the other person's record. Note: deleting your account does not cancel bookings — cancel those separately.

Still stuck?

An AI assistant answers first; a person follows up when needed. What you write is sent outside Korea (to DeepSeek, in China) to produce that answer.
