The restaurant call bell
Press the bell on the table and staff come over — calling them is not rude here.
- No bell? Call out "jeogiyo!" (excuse me). It is the normal way in Korea — staff rarely come by unasked.
- Water, cups, and cutlery are often in a table drawer or at a self-serve corner.
- Side dishes (banchan) come with the meal, and many places refill them on request.
- You usually pay at the counter by the entrance on your way out — not at the table.
- Many restaurants take orders through a table tablet or a QR code.
