The tale

Wonhyo was a monk of Silla.

A story tells that on the road to Tang he drank water in the night.

In the morning he saw the vessel and turned his mind around.

He did not go on to Tang but stayed in Silla, writing and teaching.

His works include the commentary on the Awakening of Mahayana Faith.
