The tale

The English name Korea comes from Goryeo.

In the Goryeo period foreign merchants came and went at Byeongnando near Gaegyeong.

Arabic and Persian writings contain accounts of Silla and Goryeo.

The name passed into Western writing and was spelled Corea and Korea.

The English name of the country is still Korea.
