Card meaning

Upright - one person steps forward and the argument ends. Is there something today you would put your name to?

Reversed - putting your name to it is the last resort. Exhaust the persuasion that comes before it.

The tale

Ichadon was a courtier in the reign of King Beopheung of Silla.

At that time the official recognition of Buddhism was not accepted in Silla.

The records say he was martyred in 527.

Buddhism was recognised in Silla thereafter.

The monument to his martyrdom remains in Gyeongju.
