Tipping — there is none
Korea has no tipping culture. The price on the tag is the whole price you pay.
- Restaurants, cafés, taxis, hotels, hair salons — nowhere expects a tip.
- Restaurant prices normally include VAT already. What the bill says is the final amount.
- Some upscale venues print a service charge on the bill — even then, nothing extra is expected.
- Money left on the table is treated as forgotten money, and staff come after you to return it.
