As the first in the nation to implement a ginseng traceability system, consumers can accurately verify production information, and through the "Wild Ginseng Guardian" activities, continuous quality management maintains its differentiated characteristics as a premium product. This festival is designed to shed new light on the meaning and historical value of ginseng by operating programs that utilize content to preserve the fading history and culture of wild ginseng and ginseng diggers (simmani) at Hamyang Sangrim Park, Natural Monument No. 154, where the mystery of a thousand years breathes alive. It was also established to expand the market for local agricultural and specialty products by leveraging the image of clean forest products and ginseng, the county's representative brand, and to revitalize the local economy through programs linked with forest, cultural, and tourism resources. It is held annually around September to October.
