Bulgwangcheon Stream, approximately 9.21 km long, flows from Bulgwang-dong in Eunpyeong-gu through Yeokchon-dong, Eungam-dong, Jeungsan-dong, and on to Bukgajwa-dong in Seodaemun-gu and Seongsan-dong in Mapo-gu. In 2002, sewage prevention facilities were installed and groundwater was pumped up to make the water flow, transforming it into its current form. It takes its name from the nearby Bulgwangsa Temple. At the upper part of Bulgwangcheon Stream, there are riverside stands and fountain shows are held. Bicycle paths and walking trails are well established along the stream, and various trees and aquatic plants have been planted, allowing visitors to enjoy diverse seasonal landscapes. It is also a good place to observe the restored ecosystem, making it a popular walking course loved by local residents. (Source: Visit Seoul)
